From at 2009-04-25 23:37:35 : This service takes around 5 hours, My friend and I did a game. We knew it would be stupid but we had a rail card so it was a bit of fun. I got on the 08:09 Cardiff Central - Shrewsbury service (via Swansea) and my friend got the 08:50 Cardiff Central - Manchester Piccadilly (originating as the 06:05 service from Milford Haven) and he got off at Shrewsbury at 10:51. When he called me to say he had got off at Shrewsbury, I was only at Sugar Loaf Halt!! By the time I had got to Shrewsbury, finally at 13:07, the Manchester train my friend had got on had gone to Manchester and returned to Crewe and that ex-Milford Haven train left 41 minutes after mine from Central!! There's a reminder, don't go on the 08:09 unless you are leisurely travelling!! Lol!
